Wisp

A poem

A wisp of time

passed absent notice

curled within regret

and

chanting endless chanting

saw-like, over and again

recriminated self

memories

replayed

clenching

leaden

a butterfly

without,

proximate to the meat bag anguish

just beyond its clothes-shroud

and fashion,

alights

upon a brim

by the ribbon

near the feather

tucked to felt

like rescue

from drab living

the delicate flapping

flitting

living

kite

brushed off

a clumsy hand

brainsignalled

into dispersing soft

in preference of hard;

scattered light

to, rather, don weight and darkness;

warmth

banished

that injury

and anxiety

might be nourished

and tended

to fester

roots dangling

in the cooling air
