Hidden Cafes in Chicago

There are thousands of unique cafes in Chicago that you may have never heard of. These hidden gems can not only be a great place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee but also to study, meet, meditate, or enjoy some time alone. Every month, F Newsmagazine Multimedia Editor John Choi explores cafes in different neighborhoods of Chicago so that students and faculty can find a new favorite spot.

  • Department of Coffee and Social Affairs. The first Department of Coffee and Social Affairs opened in London, late 2010. This is their third cafe in the United States.
