The Mystery of Redwood Cabin (Based on a true story)

Panel 1: Forest scene with view of rocky trail from lodge to Redwood cabin. The counselor, a woman with short hair, wearing a t-shirt and shorts, walks back to the cabin. The cabin is a small wooden building with hammocks hanging from the posts, and two red doors.

A camp counselor returns to her cabin. She is cautious not to wake up the campers.

panel 3 and 4: the counselor opens the door and there is a room with bunk beds and a doorway behind her. A shadowy figure lurks there, but the counselor doesn’t turn around.

She creeps silently to her bunk, but hears—

Panel 5: The counselor hops onto her bed and looks back at the doorway only to find nothing there. She is sitting up in bed, looking frightened.

A drip in the dark

Spooked, she tries to fall asleep.

Panel 6: The counselor with her head on a pillow and a scrunched face, thinks to herself:

“Go to sleep! Go to sleep!”

Panel 7: shot of the counselor’s eyes wide with fright.

Drip Drip Drip

Panel 8: In a panel with spiky borders, there is a face and a shadowy figure lurking in the doorway.

She had to have been imagining it all.

Panel 9: View of the rows of bunk beds and the campers sleeping.

All of the campers were fast asleep.

There couldn’t have been anyone there.

Panel 10: Bloody footprint

The next morning, she hopes it was all just a bad dream.

Panel 11: The counselor looks at the puddle and footprints in the corner with a disturbed look on her face.

But the puddle of blood on the floor was utterly inexplicable..

“What the?”
