The captions around them read, “And I get it. It’s hard when you’ve spent your whole life gawked at like a zoo animal. Dismissed. Called weird and overdramatic.  But Speak up. Speak up. Speak up! The world can be cruel and unaccommodating. But listen to how you talk to yourself. Not respecting yourself will only attract people who do the same. Trust your feelings and trust your gut. You are your biggest advocate and best friend.

The anime character looks at the shrimp, saying, “Where’s my hug at?” In return, the shrimp looks nervously at their phone, saying “Hello, 911?”

The operator responds, “stop fucking calling us!”
