Panel One: Inside a lawyer’s office Panel two: The lawyer reads aloud from the will and states: “Sir Xavier IV has left the plot of land in England to his beloved granddaughter, Layla.” The lawyer begins to spin around in order to stand up.  Panel three: spot black, the family members murmur amongst themselves.  Panel four: The family member with a messy bun exclaims, “How could this be?!” The short haired family member exclaims, “She’s just a child!” The lawyer calmly responds with, “Silence please. It is what is written. Layla?” Layla looks up curiously while holding her blue lollipop, it has a swirl. The hair accessories are now more visible. They are flowers.  Panel five: The lawyer is now standing in front of Layla. She is wearing light purple sneakers and bright purple socks. He bends down slightly to hand her the deed to the plot of land in England. His pants are black and his shoes are brown. As he hands Layla the documents, he says “Might I ask…what will you do with this land?” Layla looks mischievous as her eyes turn to stars. As her left hand grips the deed to the land and her right hand grips her lollipop -an idea pops into her head through the form of a lightbulb in a thought bubble.   Panel six: Outside, in what one can assume is England. The sky is blue and the grass is green. In the middle of the panel is a multicolored bounce house. The top of the bounce house is triangular and green. The rest of it is red, purple, blue, with a yellow floor. Layla is bouncing in the bounce house. A word bubble reads “Layla’s Bounce House”.

Transcript:

Panel One: Inside a lawyer’s office. The background is a pale yellow.  The top of the office is decorated with the lawyer’s Law degree and a painting. Below that is a shelf with four books: a dictionary, How to: Law for Dummies, and two other unnamed books. Beside the books is a pothos plant, a cup/trophy that looks like a wine glass or chalice, a graduation picture with the lawyer and his parents, and another plant. Below the shelf, the lawyer is seated in a brown chair, in front of a table, across from a family. The lawyer is wearing black reading glasses, a black bow tie, grayish-purple jacket and a white shirt. He is holding a document and reading a document in his hands. Across from the lawyer, six family members are seated. The family members have their backs turned to the viewer. One with curly black hair, one with her hair in a bun, one with short black hair, one with a little past shoulder length hair, a child holding a greenish-blue lollipop, and one with spiky hair. All the family members are wearing muted shades of purple except for the child – who is wearing a bright pink and purple top, blue shorts and bright pink hair accessories- and the family member with spiky hair – who is wearing black.
