Page One
Panel 1. A full page splash page of Dave Lyne sitting in the kitchen, tapping on his knee with drumsticks and rocking his son Domino in a bassinet with the opposite foot. His on/off girlfriend Layla Sinn stands in the room archway, hands on her hips. The room is decorated in various halloween decorations.
SFX (drumsticks): “Tap, Tap, Tap”
LAYLA: “Call me if Domino dies or something.”
Page Two
Panel 1. Dave picks Dom up from his bassinet.
DAVE: “Layla thinks you’re too young for trick-or-treating.”
Panel 2. Dave puts an Eevee beanie on Domino.
DAVE (off, cont.): “But we’ll show her!”
Panel 3. Dave walks down the road whistling while pushing Domino in a pram. He’s put on a Charizard beanie to match Dom.
DAVE: [whistles]
Panel 4. Dave rings a doorbell.
SFX (doorbell): “Ding Dong!”
Panel 5. A woman in a Tinkerbell costume answers the door holding a candy bowl. She bends down to look at Dom.
WOMAN: “Oh! Who’s this cutie?”
DAVE: “Domino Sinn.”
Panel 6. The woman looks at Dom, giving Dave a handful of candy.
WOMAN: “Huh. I thought he was an Eevee.”
Panel 7. At home, Layla returns with shopping bags. Dave sits at the kitchen table, hand in a bag of candy. Domino lays in his bassinet.
LAYLA: “Hey, how was he?”
DAVE: “A perfect angel.”
Panel 8. Layla asks Dave a snarky rhetorical question. He holds up his fingers next to his head to mime devil horns, winks, and sticks his tongue out cheekily. Dom reaches out for Dave, smiling.
LAYLA (off): “Were you an angel, Dave?”
DAVE: “Heh-heh!”
