By Comics

A one panel editorial cartoon is split into two halves. The first half has a caption at the top which reads "After igniting World War Two, German Prisoners of War were sent to the United States to conduct community service." Below is a drawing of a farmer talking to a prisoner of war who is working his land. He holds the arm of his daughter and says to the prisoner of war, "You should stay and marry my daughter!" This POW has various nazi imagery on his outfit, including a swastika. He looks delighted at the proposal to marry the daughter. An American flag flies in the background. The second half of the cartoon is captioned "During the Global War on Terrorism, the United States imprisoned Middle Easterners in 'Black Sites' far from the rule of law and threw away the key." The image depicts a person in a jail cell, enshrouded in shadow. Their face is covered with a bag and noise cancelers have been put over their head. They are wearing a jumpsuit that reads "GITMO."
