Symbionics # 2
Even robots need to rest and recharge.
Panel 1: Three characters are standing next to each other; the one on the left, Beatrix, is a human. The character in the middle and the character on the right, named Byte and Bit, are robots. Beatrix looks up at Byte, worried, as Byte sulks, clearly exhausted, as a speech balloon with a low battery symbol signifies they’re almost out of energy. Bit, meanwhile, looks on, not noticing what’s happening.
Panel 2: Beatrix asks; “Hey, are you okay?” Byte gives a weary smile, responding “Yeah, I’m fine, I’m just a little…” as they lean forward, like they’re losing their balance. Bit finally notices this, and turns his attention towards Byte.
Panel 3: Byte falls to the ground with a WHUMP. A speech balloon with a skull and crossbones indicates they have run out of battery and shut down. Beatrix and Byte both look shocked and concerned for their friend.
Panel 4: Beatrix, Byte, and Bit are all sitting down now. Bit is on their knees, pointing at Byte as he chastises them, saying “What were you thinking straining yourself like that!? Even robots need to rest and recharge!!” Byte sips from an energy can, a speech balloon with a symbol of a full battery indicating they are fully charged. Beatrix sits next to the robot holding another energy can. She has an exasperated but concerned look on her face as she rubs their arm comfortingly.
