Sapphire and Scarlett: Pages 1 and 4

The story begins

Transcript:

Page 1:

Fancy medieval lettering within a fancy old scroll says Long ago

A ⅔ full bleed page spread of a castle highlighted in a blue color glow. The faint glimpse of a  princess through the window of one of the towers. It is structured on a cliff that full bleeds the page

The other ½ of the page has a powerful Joan of Arc inspired knight riding a horse and carrying a banner with diamonds

To the left lies an empty boat sailing in an unknown direction and a lone tower out on an island

Above it, a text box reads “The fearless Knight SAPPHIRA faces her world with courage and strength, unlike anything the kingdom has seen before. She rides among the sea and sky, ready to face any challenge that dares to face the mighty warrior.

Page 4:

Three panels of a sleeping girl splashed with a vivid red color scheme as she begins to burst her eyes open due the the ringing of a phone call

Her bed spread shares a similar diamond pattern to that of the sash on SPAHIRAs banner and sash over the horse. The last panel out of the three contains a vase of flowers on a windowseal to her right..

Next panel shows the girl propped up and glancing over at the phone, revealing a setting shot of her room. A 1980s vaporwave look with a broken up striped wallpaper in red, a dresser (where the phone lies), coffee table, and arm chair. Red phone is picked up and the girl begins to speak into it, while putting on her long oversized coat, red and white pinstrip pants.

Unnamed girl: Hello? SCARLETT STONE on the phone.

Phone speaking back: Your late Stone! Your netting with MR DRAGIN regarding the next issue of SAPPHIRA was scheduled thirty minutes ago!

SCARLETT rushing out the door, her coat flying behind her, a swoosh onomatopoeia behind her.
