Panel 1. A vase smashes over a therapist’s head. She stares forward, vacantly, with a notebook on the desk in front of her.
DAVE (off, burst): “You’re not my mother! Fuck you!”
Panel 2. The therapist speaks to Dave, indifferent to his outbursts and writing in her notebook. He yells at her, gripping the edge of her desk.
THERAPIST: “Now Dave, is that the correct emotional response?”
DAVE: “Respond to this!”
Panel 3. Dave spits onto the notebook. The therapist moves her hand out of the way, looking down apathetically.
SFX (Dave’s spit): “Ptt!”
Panel 4. Starr waves to Dave as he walks out of his therapy session. He’s walking slumped over with his hands in his pockets and his sunglasses on.
STARR: “How was your session?”
DAVE: “I don’t want to talk about it!”
Panel 5. Dave starts talking to a woman in the waiting room. Starr looks over her shoulder, disgusted.
DAVE: “[male symbol]+[female symbol]=?”
WOMAN: “[Daisy with a smiling face]”
STARR (thought): “[sick face emoji]”
Panel 6. Outside Dave waves to Starr, the woman driving him away. The license plate says “FLWRGRL”
DAVE: “See you at rehearsal!”
Panel 7. Starr glances back to the “Wellness” building.
STARR: “I wonder if they have any openings…”
