Attachments, on view now at SAIC’s Sullivan Galleries, will be closing this Thursday, July 3. The Sullivan Galleries website explains, “Attachments features 19 works by graduating design students in the Master of Fine Arts in Designed Objects; Master of Design in Designed Objects; Master of Design in Fashion, Body and Garment; Master of Architecture with an Emphasis in Interior Architecture; and Master of Architecture programs.”
Attachments showcases exciting work from a variety of disciplines, all of which relates to the central theme of attachments between the personal and the private. Each of SAIC’s represented departments receives its own area of the gallery floor, but the work flows seamlessly across the entirety of the exhibition.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the Post-Baccalaureate Exhibition, which runs concurrently with Attachments. The show includes work from twenty two students receiving certificates in Fashion, Body, and Garment. The Post-Baccalaureate Exhibition will also be closing on July 3.
Attachments was curated by SAIC faculty members Odile Compagnon and Ania Jaworska with assistance from F Newsmagazine contributor Jessica Moss (MA 2015). For more information on the current Sullivan Galleries exhibitions, you can visit their website.
