World Economic Forum (WEF) Protests, NYC

The World Economic Forum, usually held in Davos, Switzerland,
was held in New York City over the course of four days during
the first week of February. On Feb. 2 protesters converged on
the meeting of representatives from the world's wealthiest nations
to show their commitment to the fight against globalization. Various
news media outlets have widely differing estimates (between 1,200 to
15,000) of the number of protesters in actual attendance. Among the
protesters were student activists from SAIC.
