SAIC community mourns the loss of “Flo” McGarrell, killed in Haiti earthquake; Two others returned safely
Artist Jeanne-Claude Denat de Guillebon died on Friday November 20, the result of a brain aneurism after a fall. She was 74-years old.
Brigitte Caine died July 16, 2009 at her home. Brigitte was the student art director of F from fall of 2005 through spring of 2007.
On Friday, April 15, 2005 Amanda K. Butkovich, a second-year student at SAIC was killed in a severe car accident. When something like this happens we begin to question, “How is it that someone so beautiful could be taken so young?”
John Reuter-Pacyna, a long time faculty member in the Department of Visual Communications, passed away in December 2004. John is most famous among students at SAIC for stripping the process of two-dimensional design to its basics: point, line, shape.
