F Newsmagazine is a monthly print publication and online journal of arts, culture, and politics. Approximately 6,000 print copies are distributed to readers across Chicago, and our website is accessed by thousands of users every week. We currently accept submissions from students and faculty at School of the Art Institute of Chicago as well as from writers and artists in the broader Chicago and international arts community.

Print Guidelines

One page in F carries about 1,000 words. We occasionally publish two-page spreads, depending on how much weight your topic merits. Reviews should be less than 500 words. Pitch your idea to an editor in the submission form, and we can give you guidelines for word count and style. We’ll be back in print from in early September. Online Guidelines

We publish web exclusive content in addition to multimedia content that supplements material from our monthly print issue. Submit high-res photos, videos, art, comics, and illustration, or send a pitch to editors@fnewsmagazine.com. Visit vimeo.com/fnewsmagazine to view our recent videos.
